With a radical overhaul of the three level pub in Manly, The Steyne opened its newest bar to the punters late last year.
The newest bar ‘Moonshine’ a Cider & Rum bar & music venue with a completely amazing fitout of old reclaimed timber & ropes takes over the top floor of the Steyne. The National Grid was asked to produce a large scale illustration for the ceiling of the bar. The rather large 38sqm illustration drew reference from the spirit & mystery of the sea.
Cant recommend a cheeky rum enough in the bar if your in Manly anytime soon )

Ashleigh Mannix produces a boundless sound that floats somewhere in the realm of folk, rockabilly and blues fusion.
Supporting and working with inspiring artists such as Ash Grunwald, Mat McHugh and Michael Franti – among others, Ashleigh has found that strong blend of influences to lay the foundation for a rare and powerful sound.

The National Grid worked with Little Hobo Project, who manage Ashleigh Mannix, on creating a new identity & website for the rising star.

The new website integrates all sorts of new social media & media playing abilities (Go & enjoy )

Along with having one of the most inspiring spaces we’ve seen, inspiring people behind it & inspired product as a result, the kids at Page Thirty Three are heading in a very nice direction indeeed.

Facing new challenges in the Modern World, Page Thirty Three has started to evolve their process and design toward a new way of thinking. One that involves as many Australian made products as possible, as well as using, not just sustainable and recycled materials, but also re-using existing materials in order to break the energy flow.

The National Grid worked with Page ThirtyThree to create their new website with an online shop.

Go Seek

The National Grid was asked by Film maker Ben Ryan to work on the identity, Cover Art & movie posters for ‘Go Seek’ – A snowboard movie by Reason Films. The film toured Australia & New Zealand earlier this year. Transfer Snowboard magazine distributed the Dvd on the cover of their magazine. Fun.

Mental Health Month. October 2011

This year The National Grid worked with The Mental health Association NSW on developing the lead graphics for this years Mental Health Month. We developed 2 different concepts, one based around the community board idea & the other based around tickets to go do fun stuff.
The campaign rolled out over the month of October Online & Print.

The Avante Card postcard campaign won ‘Best Postcard design’ for the month of October.

“I like the way this card has been designed as there is a casual friendly feel that engages the viewer. It promotes 10 tips to stress less in a series of bright freehand style tickets which seem to move on the page adding to its attraction. This card is created as a guide to simple tips that help with stress and ones that we we should remember during our busy work lives meeting crazy client deadlines. I like this card as it is informative, casual and is certainly one that would be picked up, kept or handed on.” – James Gillespie – Regional Creative Director at Adcorp WA

Alternate Direction

Alternate Direction is the brainchild of Producer, Director, Editor & allround legend Pete Burge.
By bringing a collective of filmmakers together that include some serious heavy hitters by means of Taxi Films, Conti Bros, Litup Digital, Ninja Milk, Vision 20 Media & Riley Blakeway, Alternate Direction can offer quite the Branded Content production house.

The National Grid was asked to create the new brand & from there, create the website.
We also helped with the idea of the ‘strip it back’ introduction film, starring allround legend mister Pete Burge & directed by ContiBros.

Style by Yellow Button

Super Stylist Claire Fabb asked The National Grid to create a super stylish identity for her fashion blog Style by Yellow Button.
The National Grid also designed some particularly stylish stationery to accompany the brand.
So good at picking only the best made things from the world of fashion, Style by Yellow button has quickly accumulated over 2,500 followers Facebook.

Peats Ridge Festival 2011

The National Grid has – once again – been recruited to provide design and creative services to the Peats Ridge Festival.

Now in its eighth year, the Festival has become one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year – this years line up looks like the Festival is going to be an absolute Belta!

Working with the organisers and stakeholders, TripleJ, Faster Louder and Drum Media, The National Grid is extremely proud to be asked again to assist in this years Peats Ridge Festival, Glenworth Valley.

So far, we have redesigned the Logo, promotional posters and the website and will later this year execute all the Festival assets; Festival Programs, promotional brochures, postcards, pole posters, maps, lanyards, wristbands and online brand creative assets.

La Mav :: Certified Organic Skin Science

Over the last two years, The National Grid has assisted La Mav – Organic Skin science with a plethora of brand deliverables. We were engaged to re-brand, re-think, re-fresh and re-package the wonderful range of Australias no.1 certified organic skin care.

La Mav’s products are made as nature intended – pure, potent and free from harmful chemicals, genetic modification and absolutely animal cruelty free. This brand has the utmost care and respect the environment; using only eco-friendly packaging, recyclable containers and biodegradable raw materials. The brief was to establish an aesthetic that not only reflected this, but positioned La Mav as leaders in a very competitive market place.

An extensive re-build of their website, a redesign of all product housing (both internal and external packaging for all 7 ranges), along with promotional material, point of sale assets, brand livery and html news/ blog artwork was developed. We wish Tarj Mavi the very best in the launch of her fabulous product.
